Born in New England and dropped into the middle of North Carolina at 15, Laura moved to Boone for college mostly to once again embrace the feeling of experiencing all fours seasons in all their glory. She graduated from Appalachian State University in 2008 with a BA in English/Creative Writing and Contemporary History. She's a slacker writer who prefers customer service for all of its benefits within the community. Laura brought her pets to App New River years before finding her place here. As a client service representative at ANRVA, she loves meeting and helping members of the local community, and believes you can know someone through their pets. She enjoys helping pet owners navigate the waters of pet healthcare so they can provide the best quality of life for their pets. Laura lives with her mechanic spouse and elementary age child but no furry family members at this time.  They look forward to owning a home they can fill with pets.
