Dr. Rachael Kearns

Dr. Rachael Kearns has practiced both small and large animal medicine in rural Northwestern NC since her graduation from NC State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. Dr. Kearns has a keen interest in soft-tissue surgery and dentistry and has years of experience performing spays, neuters, and other surgical procedures for both client pets and local animal rescues. As a clinician, Dr. Kearns takes a holistic approach to medicine and preventative care, focusing on early diagnosis and complementary medicine to maximize longevity and quality of life.

Outside of the clinic, she and her husband run a small regenerative farm in Moravian Falls, NC utilizing rotational grazing of sheep, goats, and pigs for pasture-based meat production. When she is not chasing animals (and her toddler son, Elijah) around the farm, she enjoys running, biking, yoga, and playing old-time and bluegrass music. Her family has a deep-seated affinity for the Appalachian Mountains and she is eager to serve the ANRVA community and help our beloved animals thrive.
