Dr. Cathy Kreis is a 1993 Cornell University graduate who supports our team as the Medical Director and Managing DVM. She has practiced medicine and surgery in East Africa, New York, and North Carolina. She enjoys travel, but has been grateful to settle down and call Boone home since 2009. Her family home includes  4 grand-dogs. Dr. Kreis loves to learn and recently added Behavior Medicine to our list of veterinary services offered at ANRVA. Supporting the Human-Animal Bond in all its forms is her passion. She also has special interests in feline medicine, client care, staff wellness, and dentistry. Teeth, cats, our awesome clients and staff always need a bit of extra love! When not at work, you can find Dr. Kreis on the trails, in the kitchen, or in her new green house! She enjoys gardening and entertaining family and friends as often as possible.
