Carly began working at ANRVA in October of 2019 as a Veterinary Assistant. She is from a small town called Advance, which is near Winston Salem, and has a college education background in Biology and Psychology from Appalachian State University. She has previous experience working in dog daycare centers where she worked with new dogs to find the right activities for their comfort levels. Right before coming to ANRVA, she had also worked at an emergency hospital in Charlotte. When looking for a veterinary job in Boone, she had previously brought her pets to ANRVA and was happy to be able to become part of the team she once visited for her own pet's excellent care. Carly is cross trained as a Client Service Representative as well. At home, Carly has a full house with eight cats and one dog that is an Australian shepherd/cattle dog/ hound mix. Carly has plans to possibly pursue becoming a Laboratory Technician or Licensed Veterinary Technician.
